Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SOLMATTER Co., Ltd. ((주)솔매터, "SOLMATTER", "we", "us") handles information in the mobile game Farm Box (the "App"), distributed on Google Play. If you have any question, contact us at kimsol@solmatter.kr.
The short version
- No account, no login, no chat. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- Your game progress is saved on your device. There is no cloud save, and we do not run game servers.
- The App sends gameplay statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase, linked to random identifiers for your app installation. We use them to understand how the game is played and to fix problems.
- The App shows ads through Google AdMob: optional reward videos and, later in the game, some full-screen ads between stages. There are no banner ads. Google collects device and usage information to show and measure ads.
- The App sends a few events to Meta (Facebook), such as app launches, stage clears and purchases, to measure the ad campaigns that promote Farm Box.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment card details.
- Reminder notifications are created on your device and send no information.
- The App is not directed to children under 13.
1. Information stored on your device
The App saves a game file in its own storage area on your device. It contains:
- game progress: current stage, the board and its items, energy, gems, boosters, discovered items, the Gem Jar balance and farm areas restored;
- settings: sound, music and vibration, and whether you allowed reminders;
- daily reward calendar status and the Starter Pack offer timer;
- purchase and reward records: which purchases you own and the transaction IDs already granted, so that each purchase and each reward video is granted exactly once;
- simple counters used by the game, such as install date, total active play time and the number of ads watched.
The file itself is not uploaded to us. Some of these values are included in the analytics events described in section 2. The file is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Your device's own backup service (for example Google device backup) may include it in device backups, depending on your settings. We cannot access those backups and cannot recover lost progress.
2. Analytics, crash reports and game settings (Firebase)
The App uses three Google Firebase services, provided by Google LLC.
Google Analytics for Firebase
The App sends events about how the game is played, so we can see where players get stuck, how long sessions last and whether changes work. These include, for example:
- game start, tutorial steps, stage start and stage clear (with counts such as energy spent, merges, obstacles cleared and how much of the field was cleared), order completions, new items discovered, items sold, boosters used, running out of energy and a full board;
- active play time, and the screen you were on when you left the App;
- ads: when a reward video is offered, started, completed or failed, when a full-screen ad is shown, and the estimated earnings that AdMob reports for each ad shown;
- shop and purchases: shop visits, products viewed, purchase attempts and results, including product ID, price, currency, Google Play transaction ID and whether the receipt was verified;
- daily reward claims, offers shown, and whether you allowed or declined reminder notifications;
- with every event: the App version and current stage, plus two user properties: your install date (UTC) and a flag that marks our own test devices.
Firebase also collects some information automatically, such as first open and session start events, device model, operating system version, language, the country or region estimated from your IP address, an app instance ID created for your installation, and the Android Advertising ID and app set ID when available. We can see this information in Firebase reports. We may link Firebase with our AdMob account and export analytics data to Google BigQuery, a Google Cloud service, in our own project so we can analyze it. In those records, events are tied to pseudonymous identifiers such as the app instance ID, not to your name or contact details.
The App has no in-game switch that turns analytics off. Uninstalling the App stops all collection. Deleting your Advertising ID (see Your choices) stops its use.
Firebase Crashlytics
If the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, Crashlytics sends a report with the error details (stack trace), device model, operating system version, App version, other device state at the time (such as free memory), an installation identifier and the stage you were playing. We use these reports only to find and fix problems.
Firebase Remote Config
When the App starts, it asks Firebase for game balance values, such as energy refill time, reward amounts and how often full-screen ads may appear. The request includes a Firebase installation identifier and basic app and device information, which Google uses to deliver the right values. If the request fails, the App uses built-in defaults.
See Google's Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), provided by Google LLC, to show:
- optional reward videos that play only when you choose to watch one: to refill energy, to open a bubble, or to double ("x2") the rewards on a stage clear screen;
- occasional full-screen ads between stages, shown only after you tap CONTINUE on a stage clear screen and never during play. They start later in the game (currently after stage 6 and about 15 minutes of play). Owning No Ads stops them.
The App does not show banner ads. When ads are requested or shown, the SDK collects information and sends it to Google, such as:
- device and advertising identifiers: the Android Advertising ID and app set ID;
- IP address, which Google may use to estimate your general (approximate) location;
- ad and app interactions, such as ads shown and tapped and app launches;
- diagnostic and performance information, such as crash and ad-loading data;
- device information, such as model, operating system version, language and network type.
Google uses this information to show ads, to personalize them where permitted, to measure them, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to improve its services. Advertising partners that take part in Google's ad auctions may also receive information. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. AdMob gives us aggregated reports, such as impressions and earnings. The App also records each ad's estimated earnings in Firebase (section 2).
The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to decide whether a consent or opt-out message applies where you are. If one applies, the App may show it at launch, and you can change your choices later (see Your choices).
4. Ad campaign measurement (Meta)
We promote Farm Box with ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To learn which ads lead to installs and engaged players, the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK for Android, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., and sends these App Events to Meta:
- app launches (app activation), which Meta uses to count installs and returns;
- tutorial completion;
- stage clears ("level achieved"), with the stage number and the same stage details sent to Firebase;
- purchases, with price, currency, product ID and transaction ID.
Each of these events also carries the App version, current stage, install date and the test-device flag. The SDK sends these events together with the Android Advertising ID (when available), your IP address and device and app information (such as device model, operating system version and App version). Meta's automatic event logging is turned off. The App sends only the events listed above, and it does not offer Facebook Login. Meta uses this information to measure, attribute and optimize ads that promote the App, and under its own policies. If you have a Meta account, Meta may connect this information with it. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices
- Privacy choices in the App. When Google's User Messaging Platform finds that a message applies where you are, the App's Settings shows a PRIVACY CHOICES button. There you can review or change your ad choices at any time, including opting out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising under US state privacy laws where offered. This button controls Google ads. It does not turn off Firebase analytics or Meta events.
- Advertising ID. In your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the device) you can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID. Deleting it stops its use by AdMob, Firebase and Meta.
- Meta. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, you can review activity that apps share with Meta, and limit how Meta uses it for ads, in Meta's Accounts Center settings.
- No Ads. Buying No Ads stops the full-screen ads between stages. Reward videos stay available and play only when you choose to watch one.
- Notifications. See section 7.
- Stop all collection. Uninstalling the App stops all collection by the App and its SDKs.
6. In-app purchases
The App offers optional purchases: the Starter Pack, gem packs, the Gem Jar and No Ads. Payments are processed by Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy. The App connects to Google Play Billing through Unity In-App Purchasing, a library from Unity Technologies. We do not receive your payment card or bank details.
- To grant a purchase exactly once, the App checks the purchase receipt on your device using Google Play's public key, and saves the transaction ID on your device.
- The Starter Pack and No Ads are one-time purchases. When the App starts, it asks Google Play which of them your Google account owns, and restores them. Gem packs and the Gem Jar are used up when granted.
- The App sends purchase events (product ID, price, currency, transaction ID and whether the receipt was verified) to Firebase (section 2), and the purchase price, currency and details to Meta (section 4), to measure purchases.
- Google gives us order records and sales and tax reports, for example the order number, product, price, date and the buyer's country or region.
7. Notifications
The App uses local notifications only. When you leave the App, it schedules up to two reminders on your device: when your energy will be full, and when the next daily reward is ready (10 AM local time). They are cancelled when you return. No push service or server is involved, and the notifications send no information.
- On Android 13 and later, the App asks for notification permission only when you tap Remind me on an early stage clear screen. If you choose Not now or decline, no reminders are shown. The App records whether you allowed or declined in Firebase (section 2).
- On Android 12 and earlier, Android allows notifications by default and does not ask.
- On any version, you can turn reminders off in your device settings: Settings → Apps → Farm Box → Notifications.
8. Game engine
The App is built with the Unity engine. Unity Technologies may receive limited technical information about the device, such as device model, operating system version and hardware capabilities, to support and improve the engine and its services. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
9. Emailing us
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include, such as your device model, App version, order number or screenshots. We use it only to answer you and to keep a record of the request. We delete it when it is no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
10. What we do not do
- We do not create user accounts or profiles, and the App has no login.
- We do not sell personal information for money.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera data.
- The App has no chat and no user-generated content.
- We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number in the App.
11. Categories of information (notice for US residents)
The following categories of personal information are collected through the App. They are collected by third-party SDKs and stores, not by servers that SOLMATTER runs (we run none). SOLMATTER can view the Firebase data, which is tied to pseudonymous identifiers.

12. Your US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know about and access the personal information collected about you, and get a portable copy;
- correct or delete it;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- not be discriminated against for using these rights.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, Google's use of device identifiers for personalized ads, and sending app events with device identifiers to Meta to measure and optimize our ad campaigns, may be considered a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. You can opt out of Google ad personalization with PRIVACY CHOICES in the App's Settings (shown where it applies). You can limit the use of identifiers by Google and Meta by deleting your Advertising ID, and you can stop all collection by uninstalling the App (see Your choices). You can also email us an opt-out request, and we will tell you which of these steps apply to you. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
How to make a request. Email kimsol@solmatter.kr with the subject "Privacy request". Section 13 explains what we can and cannot find. We respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" within 30 days, and we will answer within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the result of an appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
13. Accessing and deleting information
The App has no account, so we cannot look up your information by name or email address. Here is what you can do:
- Information on your device. Uninstall the App, or go to Settings → Apps → Farm Box → Storage and tap Clear storage. This permanently deletes your game progress. Purchases you own stay with your Google account, and the Starter Pack and No Ads are restored when you play again signed in with the same Google account.
- Advertising ID. Reset or delete it in your device settings (see Your choices). After a reset, new information is no longer linked to the old ID.
- Information held by Google (Firebase and AdMob) and Meta. These companies keep it under their own policies (see sections 2 to 4). The App does not show its Firebase app instance ID or other identifiers, so in most cases we cannot find the records that belong to you. If you made a purchase, your Google Play order number (it starts with "GPA.") may let us find the related Firebase records. If we can find them, we will ask Google to delete the analytics data for that app installation.
- Email us. Write to kimsol@solmatter.kr. We will tell you what we can find and delete, and how to contact Google or Meta about the information they hold.
14. Children's privacy
The App is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used the App, contact us at kimsol@solmatter.kr. We will help you limit and delete what we can, for example by deleting or resetting the device's Advertising ID and uninstalling the App, and by trying to find and delete related analytics records as described in section 13. We will take any further steps the law requires.
15. Security and retention
The SDKs and Google Play send information over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Information saved on your device is protected by your device's own security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
- Information on your device stays there until you uninstall the App or clear its storage.
- Firebase Analytics data is kept according to the data retention setting we choose in Google Analytics and Google's terms. Crashlytics and Remote Config data, and AdMob data, are kept according to Google's retention policies.
- Information sent to Meta is kept according to Meta's policies.
- We keep support emails only as long as needed (see section 9).
16. Where information is processed
SOLMATTER is based in the Republic of Korea. The App is currently offered in the United States. Google, Meta and Unity may process information in the United States and other countries under their own privacy policies.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if the App adds features or services. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are significant, we will also say so in the App's store listing or in the App.
